Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
When we refer to the term ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), the human mind directly imagines a very specialized software system, difficult to use but also very complex to understand. In their original versions, most ERP systems looked a bit like this, but over time, with the right resolution and smart design, they improved a lot. ERP software companies have marketed reliable software and helped small, medium and large businesses reduce their operating costs, increase revenue and make better management of their available resources. Some of the benefits businesses can gain through ERP software are the following:

ERP Benefits:

1. Increase its revenue 2. Reduce operating costs 3. Automation of processes and at the same time increase the productivity of employees 4. Easy integration of information from different departments 5. Additional security of business data

Modes of operation

  1. On-premises: The installation is done on the company’s physical equipment. The company is responsible for the infrastructure, for the correct operations, for the full maintenance, and for the management of ERP.
  2. SaaS: The installation is done on Cloud equipment served by the software provider, and the provider is responsible for the smooth operations/maintenance of the system. The company pays subscription fees to the ERP provider.
  3. Hosted: The installation is done on the company’s cloud equipment. Again the company is responsible for the smooth operation, as on the premises installation.
